Ron A. Zajac's Dongshih Diary
Have a look at some general musings and observations about life here in Dongshih, Taiwan.

These pages represent large chunks of time; "Dongshih Diary 01" is from my first stint teaching English in Taiwan (about 10 months), etc.

Under these major headings you will find smaller section headings.

You may notice that the images in any given section are something of a grab bag. This is because my "organizational" structure is as follows: When I come home after taking a bunch of pics, I download the batch of images into a folder, loosely named after the content. This means that there isn't much in the way of thematic unity or topic focus in the following areas. And I like it that way. It rambles. Sort of like me. And that's as it should be, right?

Dongshih Diary 01

My first stint teaching English in Taiwan. Note that I didn't get my camera until, like, the last two months.

Visiting Mei Guo 01

I spent most of December 2004 and about a week of January 2005 in the U.S. of A. I visited my dad (and others) in Detroit for the first half, and family and friends in DFW (Dallas/Fort Worth) for the last.

Aliyah Takes Dongshih by Storm!

Title sez all! A blockbuster "Must See!"

Visiting Jio Jio Fong, etc.

I took the month of September off to visit Nantou ("Non-Toe"; central Taiwan), and also Hualien and Taroko Gorge.
